Online Christmas Card

Hi everyone! We have created this online Christmas card for all those who have received our regular mail Christmas card.

We are enduring bitter cold up here in Woodstock, Illinois. As I write this the temperature is about 10 degrees with a wind chill of well below zero. Do you feel our pain? We have already had two snowfalls of 3-5 inches, and a few other dustings. It should be a cold and snowy winter, but the sleds are fired up and ready to go.

I (Steve) have been pastoring in Woodstock at Calvary Baptist Church since April and I really enjoy it. You can never know all that pastoring will entail until you enter it. But we know with the struggles come great reward if we fight the good fight and love our people. And we really do love them and have seen some great things happen since starting here. God is really good.

Molly is now homeschooling, and that is a profound blessing. The kids are learning in leaps and bounds. She teaches when Daniel goes down for his nap. Officially it's just Sarah (2nd grade) and Jack (Kindergarten) in school, but Elijah does a little learning too. He loves being involved. We are so glad we decided to homeschool. We get to vacation when we want to (which is important for a pastor) and have a flexible schedule week to week. Plus, we like the results. Our kids like to learn.

We hope you will keep checking back for new info on the McCoy's of Woodstock, Illinois. You will notice at the top right of the page there is a button for "Family Picutres." I put new pics there often. Also, you can click on the "Archives" links to see previous posts and pictures and news about us.

Thanks for visiting and Merry Christmas.

Molly has officially gone bonkers. Just look at this scene in our house today...

Yes, you should have bought stock in Land O Lakes butter a month ago, because they are backordered thanks to Molly. And this pile of cookies isn't even counting the 10 dozen cookies she made and took to a cookie exchange yesterday.

Wowwy wow wow. Molly is a baking fool.

UPDATE! Look how Mol transformed these into delightful gifts...

What Are Friends For?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I thought you would like to see how much thought some of my friends put into their gifts to me. Look, I'm no skinny minny and I'm 6'1"...I don't think a "large" is gonna work.

Oh, and check out a few new family pictures.

Let it Snow...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Woodstock received 4-5+ inches of snow yesterday. Because we homeschool, the kids were able to get out this morning and play for a bit before school. I think they are starting to realize after two snowstorms of 4 inches or more before December that they aren't in Kentucky anymore.
